Waves & Whales Sponsorship

On Saturday, May 12, 2018 we will be hosting the 3rd annual Waves & Whales 5K Trail Run-Walk on the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands. ACORN is inviting the community to participate in this run as a way to support our educational programs while enjoying the beauty of our natural landscape. We are also asking businesses and service organizations, both locally and beyond, to join us as sponsors in this first annual event.

Local artist Erin Kirchner will be creating artwork that will be featured on our promotional materials, including participant t-shirts, posters and postcards (see last year’s poster). The run will be the primary focus of the event with educational tables and student involvement serving as a secondary focus.

Sponsors are invited to participate at one of the following levels:

    • Featured sponsor of the Waves & Whales Trail Run-Walk plus our annual fall Community Film Festival
    • One free participant entry
    • Logo on t-shirt

This program was launched on the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands and continues to integrate these lands with field studies and art projects for students in grades K-8.
