Local Access to Global Music & Dance

sambada-workshopACORN launched this program in November 2016 by hosting a day-long SambaDá in the Schools workshop. The aim of this program is to create cultural opportunities for residents of our rural community. Music and dance provide access to cross-cultural learning in a meaningful and engaging way.

Since 2016, we have hosted:

  • Bi-annual workshops with SambaDá for students and the community
  • Dance classes with Master West African instructors
  • Multi-week sessions of Zumba for kids

You can help support this program by making a donation to help underwrite artist stipends. Thank you in advance for supporting this exciting program!
